For more than four decades, Mt. Zion International Ministries has stood as a beacon of faith, service, and transformation in Southeast Michigan and beyond. Our story is one of unwavering belief in God’s power, deep commitment to community, and a vision that reaches across generations and nations. From humble beginnings to a thriving, Spirit-filled ministry, we continue to welcome individuals and families into a place where worship is alive, faith is strengthened, and lives are changed.
Our Story
Rooted in Faith, Growing in Love
Mt. Zion International Ministries was founded over 40 years ago with a clear mission: to build a church where God’s presence is experienced, His Word is taught with power, and His love is demonstrated in action. What began as a small congregation with a big vision has grown into a dynamic ministry that serves not only the Southeast Michigan community but also partners with believers and ministries across the globe.
Through seasons of change, God’s hand has remained on this ministry, raising up leaders, transforming lives, and expanding our reach. Our foundation is built on prayer, worship, and the Word, and our heart remains committed to being a place where every person can encounter Christ in a real and life-changing way.
Our History
A group of Christians with a vision and purpose began meeting in the basement at the home of Deacons Nathaniel and Annette Seton. The reason of this meeting was for worship and to share the word of God. As this group grew, the vision was realized that a church was forming.
As we contemplated on a name, Hebrew 12: 18-24 came to mind, specifically verses 22-24: “But ye are come unto Mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect…”
Our attendance grew, prompting us to look for a bigger place of worship. Our first stop was the New Hope Arena where we had service from March 23, 2008 till June. We then moved to our current place of worship, 2315 24th Ave. N. Minneapolis, MN, 55411 where we’ve been since June 29, 2008.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to lead people into a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ, nurture spiritual growth, and empower believers to impact their communities and the world. Every message, every program, and every outreach effort flows from this calling — to bring hope, healing, and transformation through the power of God’s Word and Spirit.
Vision
Our vision is to be a church that reflects God’s kingdom — diverse, Spirit-led, and active in love. We envision Mt. Zion as a center for worship that touches heaven, a hub for discipleship that strengthens believers, and a launching place for missions that spread the Gospel across nations. Together, we are building not just for today, but for generations yet to come.
